Irish ban on microbeads discussed

Dublin, 21 November 2016. 23 November the Irish Seanad (Senate) will debate a ban on microbeads in cosmetics (4.30 pm Irish time). The bill has two parts, a ban and the requirement that the Irish government yearly reports on the levels of microplastics. The bill is an initiative of Grace O’Sullivan (Green Party). The Irish government has committed to getting rid of microbeads.
