Following the insipirational and mesmerising trailer of BLUE PLANET II , BBC urges people to take a step towards the conservation of our beautiful ocean and all its life forms. There are many threats steadily approaching the marine life in the wake of climate change and man-made disasters. The biggest one amongst those is our most convenient invention: PLASTIC. Plastic has turned out to be a disaster in all forms, shapes and sizes. Its found in all kinds of ecosystems as one of the major pollutants. BBC encourages people to take whatever steps possible to combat this evil.

When it comes to the issue of heavy microplastic pollution in the ocean, BBC recommends to download the Beat the Microbead app. Beat the Microbead app is an easy way to detect if your cosmetics and personal care products have microplastic ingredients or not. Alternatively, Beat the Microbead campaign provides a list of ZERO plastic inside brands to help the procedure of going plastic-free easier.
